Tarot Reading and Transpersonal Counselling

dotHow did I become involved with the Tarot ?

For as long as I can remember, I have considered it my vocation to interact and work with people on a personal level. So it didn't really surprise my friends and family when I eventually stopped what I was doing and trained to become a Counsellor.

Six months or so after counselling full time I began to notice that I was developing the ability to 'tune in' to a client's emotional pain. This went far beyond the basic normal empathic feelings that a competent counsellor should feel towards a client.

Sometimes, in my mind's eye, I could visualise whole images from a client's life, like snapshots frozen in time. Ever since I was a teenager I have had many psychic and spiritual experiences, but nothing ever like this.

Some time later, and after much research, I found out that in the world of psychotherapy that this strange phenomenon which some people experience is described as the transpersonal. If this extrasensory skill is ever ultimately taken seriously by society and considered to be a necessity when working with people in any of the caring professions, I would imagine that a lot of people would suddenly be out of a job !

The fact is that most of us are aware of this transpersonal interaction between people on a daily basis, whether you describe it as a 'gut feeling', 'mother's intuition' or just using your 'sixth sense'. We have all experienced strange coincidences or unusual happenings throughout our life at one time or another. When did you last experience Déjà vu ?

I decided to take things a little further to see if I could test the world of the transpersonal myself, and the Tarot seemed to be one of the easiest avenues for me to follow at that particular time.

I consulted two separate Tarot readers from completely different areas within a week of each other. Not only did they virtually give me exactly the same information, but incredibly, what was predicted by both, actually happened within a few days, and from that point my life was changed forever.

dotWhat do I personally experience ?

A question I'm often asked. During the reading, when the information begins to filter through, strange as it may sound, the sensation always reminds me of what it may feel like to fall through wet tissue paper! Sometimes the emotional intensity of a future or past event can be so intense that it can literally bring tears to my eyes. But generally the atmosphere in a reading is mostly a happy and uplifting experience for everyone involved.
